iPhone 18 Dive Case Compatibility Guide: Which Housings Fit?
The iPhone 18 dive case question is back—and this year it matters more than ever. Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max bring a 48MP Pro Fusion camera system with variable aperture, improved low-light video, ProRes RAW, Apple Log 2 and up to 4K/120 fps recording. On paper, that makes them seriously capable underwater cameras.
But impressive camera specs do not help if the phone does not fit safely inside your housing. Apple lists both Pro models at 0.34 in (8.75 mm) body depth, while the Pro Max measures 6.43 × 3.07 in (163.4 × 78.0 mm). The camera bulge is the real deciding factor, and the new iPhone Duo adds another form factor that manufacturers need to test separately.
So, will your current housing fit the iPhone 18? Here is what Divevolk, ProShot, Oceanic+ and SeaLife have confirmed so far—and where I would still be cautious.

Why iPhone 18 Dive Case Compatibility Matters
Every diver knows that trust in your gear matters. A phone that is too tight, sits at an angle or presses against the lens port can lead to:
Leaks or an unreliable seal at depth
A blocked lens or unwanted reflections
Buttons that do not line up correctly
Poor touchscreen or app operation underwater
The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are not unusually thick at the body, but the 48MP triple-camera system creates a substantial lens bulge. That total thickness—not only Apple’s quoted 0.34 in (8.75 mm) body depth—is what decides whether a universal housing really fits.
Divevolk lists an iPhone 17/18 adapter for the SeaTouch 4 Max Plus and an iPhone 12–18 option for the new SeaTouch 6 Pro.
iPhone 18 Dive Case Compatibility Overview
Divevolk SeaTouch 4 Max Plus and SeaTouch 6 Pro
Divevolk is again one of the clearest manufacturers about compatibility. Its current SeaTouch 4 Max Plus adapter option specifically lists the iPhone 17/18 series. The housing accepts phones up to 0.67 in (17 mm) thick at the lens bulge, so the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max fit comfortably within that limit.
There is one important exception: the iPhone Duo is not compatible with the SeaTouch 4 Max Plus. Divevolk calls this out directly in the adapter selection, so do not order the standard iPhone 17/18 adapter for the Duo.
Divevolk also has the new SeaTouch 6 Pro (and an in detail review is coming sonn!). Its current adapter options include the iPhone 12–18 series, making it compatible with the newest iPhone 18 Pro models as well. Like the SeaTouch 4 Max Plus, it keeps the major Divevolk advantage: real touchscreen access underwater without depending on a Bluetooth connection or a dedicated camera app.
That simple, mechanical approach is exactly why Divevolk remains my safest recommendation after a phone upgrade. You replace the adapter, not the entire housing, and there is no electronic compatibility layer to become outdated.

ProShot Dive Case 2.0
ProShot has already updated its product page and explicitly lists the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max as compatible with the ProShot Dive Case. That is refreshingly direct: if you own one of Apple’s new Pro models, ProShot says the current case fits.
The ProShot Dive Case is rated to 130 ft (40 m) and uses physical buttons with the ProShotCase app rather than the phone’s touchscreen. It is still one of the most affordable proper dive housings, and the current universal version is intended to fit all iPhones.
Just make sure you are buying the current case version. Older ProShot stock was designed around earlier iPhone generations, so the manufacturer’s current iPhone 18 statement should not automatically be applied to every second-hand case.

The lens bulge—not only the phone body depth—is the measurement that decides whether an iPhone 18 fits safely.
Oceanic+ Dive Housing
Oceanic has not yet published a statement about iPhone 18 compatibility for the Oceanic+ Dive Housing. Its European product page currently lists several newer iPhones—including the iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Max and iPhone 16 Pro Max—as requiring an appropriate retrofit kit.
That makes it reasonable to expect that the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will also need a dedicated retrofit kit. However, this is still an inference, not an official confirmation. Until Oceanic names the iPhone 18 or releases the correct kit, I would not force the phone into the housing or assume that an iPhone 17 insert is good enough.
This is the exact reason I do not like overly technical smartphone housings that must fit around model-specific hardware while also adding electronics, Bluetooth and an operating system of their own. Every phone upgrade creates more parts and software to check. A universal mechanical housing is simply easier to trust.

SeaLife SportDiver Ultra
SeaLife is much clearer. The company explicitly states that the SportDiver Ultra fits all iPhones from the iPhone 11 through the iPhone 18 Pro Max. So the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are officially covered by the manufacturer’s current compatibility statement.
The SportDiver Ultra is the larger version of SeaLife’s housing and is designed for big flagship phones. It is rated to 130 ft (40 m) and operates through the SportDiver app and Bluetooth controls. Compatibility is welcome, although my broader criticism of app-dependent housings still applies. Read the full review before deciding whether that trade-off works for you.

Final Thoughts: The Best iPhone 18 Dive Case
For the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, you already have three confirmed options: Divevolk, ProShot and SeaLife SportDiver Ultra. My first choice remains Divevolk, because full touchscreen control and a simple adapter system make it far less vulnerable to app updates, Bluetooth problems and model-specific electronics.
ProShot is the best budget option and now gives buyers a direct iPhone 18 compatibility statement. SeaLife’s SportDiver Ultra also fits, but it still comes with the complexity of an app-based housing. Oceanic+ is the one I would wait on until the company publishes an official iPhone 18 retrofit solution.
If you have the iPhone Duo, be especially careful: Divevolk’s standard iPhone 17/18 adapter is explicitly not compatible, and I would wait for model-specific confirmation from every manufacturer before taking it underwater.
